A Season of Wishes
We wish for deep and peaceful rest for beleaguered arts administrators who wrote the book on “do more with less” years before the Tea Party thought of the idea.
We wish for artists to be employed.
We wish all children had equal access and opportunity to excel in life because the arts were at the core of their public education and not relagated to private providers they cannot afford.
We wish community leaders who are also arts supporters would run for public office.
We wish the arts industry would have the wholesale “wake up” that they have no choice but to become political activists.
Money would be nice. We’ll trade sugar plums for extra hope, energy, and good ideas.
Most of all, we hope that everyone who works tirelessly in the arts to make North Carolina a remarkable place to live will realize the value of their work.
Happy Holidays from Arts North Carolina
